James Kimball

VERMONT — James Harvey Kimball was born May 26th, 1839, in Jefferson County, Ohio; departed this life, Feb. 22nd, 1920, at his home in Vermont, Ill., at the age of 80 years, 8 months and 27 days. When only a year old he came with his parents to Vermont, where he grew to manhood. He was united in marriage to Ruth Anna Miles in 1862. To them were born two children, one dying in infancy. The other, Mrs. Charles Hazen, resides in Moline, Ill. His wife died and Mr. Kimball was married to Rose Anna Webster in 1867. To this union were born seven children of whom, together with the bereaved wife, three daughters remain to mourn the loss: Mrs. A. A. Roe and Mrs. Emil Voelimy of Minneapolis, Minn., and Mrs. Frank E. Gilson of Vermont, Ill. There also survive 6 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Mr. Kimball had been a member of the Vermont Christian church for 59 years. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Fred Wilson from the Christian church Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock. The remains were laid to rest in the Vermont cemetery.
