She was born Oct. 2, 1978, in Rushville, the daughter of Jerry and Connie Workman Jones. They survive, and live in Camden.
Also surviving are one daughter, Kameryn of Thousand Oaks, Calif.; one brother, Jason (and Tanya) Jones; one niece, Tesla of Palmyra, Mo.; one grandmother, Nancy Dean of Rushville; and her special friend, Najim.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, George and Deloris Jones; and her great-grandparents.
She was a 1997 graduate of Rushville High School and earned a Master Degree in school social work at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale.
In high school, she was in the Elite Show Choir and a rock band. She got to perform in plays and musicals.
Private graveside services will be held at a later date at Mount Zion Cemetery in Astoria. Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials in Ginger’s memory may be made to Ebenezer United Methodist Church in Rushville or the Ginger Jones-Sabo Memorial Fund.
