Victor JacksonVictor Seth Jackson Jr., 91, of Rushville died at 5:53 p.m. Sept. 7, 2022, at Bickford of Macomb.

He was born Sept. 1, 1931, in Rushville, the son of Victor Seth and Esther Mourning Jackson. He married Beverly Jean Williams on Sept. 7, 1958, in Woodward, Okla. She preceded him in death on Sept. 19, 2015.

He also was preceded in death by one son, Stuart Seth Jackson; and one daughter, Jennie Elizabeth Jackson.

Surviving is one brother-in-law, Jerry (and Nancy) Williams.

In 1953, he earned a Bachelors Degree from DePauw University in Greencastle, Ind. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of the Korean War where he served from 1955-58 and earned the rank of Lt. Junior Grade. He owned and operated Jackson’s Shoe Store from 1958 until retiring in 1998.

He was a member of Rushville First United Methodist Church. He also was a member of Schuyler American Legion Post #4, Rushville Masonic Lodge #9 AF & AM, Rushville Commandry, Springfield Shrine Club, Schuyler 22 Club, Rushville Moose Lodge #506 and Beardstown Elks Lodge #1007.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Rushville First United Methodist Church with Rev. Stacy Tomich officiating. Burial will follow in Rushville City Cemetery with Military Honors by Schuyler American Legion Post #4 and U.S. Navy Honor Detail. Masonic Services were held Tuesday.
