Connie L. “Dobbs” Jones, 81, of Rushville died at 7:25 p.m. July 17, 2019, at Rushville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.Connie L. “Dobbs” Jones, 81, of Rushville died at 7:25 p.m. July 17, 2019, at Rushville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born May 23, 1938, in Ripley, the daughter of Lee Dobbs Sr. and Cassie Mary Wells Dobbs. She married Monte Jones on Nov. 24, 1966, in Timewell. He preceded her in death on Oct. 25, 2011.
She also was preceded in death by one brother, Lee Dobbs Jr.
Surviving are one daughter, LeAnn (and George) Vincent of Rushville; and four grandchildren, Mason, Janson, Addison and Emmerson Vincent, all of Rushville.
She worked at Meyers Nursing Home for several years and was a lifelong homemaker.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville with Rev. Larry DeSha officiating. Burial was in Ripley Cemetery.
