She was born Aug. 14, 1922, in McCool, Miss., a daughter of Ben H. and Cynthia F. Oliver Veal. She married David O. “Bill” Jones Jr. on June 23, 1947, in Leland, Miss. He died July 3, 1992.
She also was preceded in death by seven brothers and one sister.
Surviving are two sons, David (and Patricia) Jones of Table Grove and Don (and Christy) Jones of Cushing; one daughter, Linda (and Richard) Marsh of Winslow, Ind.; two brothers, Don (and Helen) Veal of Osyka, Miss., and Wayne Veal of Grandview, Texas; 13 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of First Baptist Church in Cushing. She was active in her church activities.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Cuba with Reverend Larry Wright officiating. Burial will be in Baughman Cemetery in rural Smithfield. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the memorial home.
