Fairy Jarvis

Fairy Eleanor (Bloyd) Jarvis, 85, of Havana died at 11:43 p.m. Feb. 3, 2012, at Graham Hospital.

She was born May 24, 1926, in Lewistown, a daughter of William and Alice Marie St. Clair Bloyd. She married Dwight R. Jarvis on Feb. 29, 1948, in Palmyra, Mo. He survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Lynn (and Richard) Sipe of Kansas City, Mo., and Rebecca (and Charles) Shumaker of Lewistown; one brother, Danny (and Rosemary) Bloyd of Lewistown; one sister, Rose Ellis of Canton; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister.

She was a graduate of Lewistown High School.

She was a retired grocery store owner and operator.

She was a member of Illinois Street Christian Church in Lewistown, Lewistown American Legion Auxiliary and Lewistown VFW Auxiliary.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown with Reverend Kenny Bloyd officiating. Cremation will be accorded. Inurnment will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lewistown.

Memorials may be made to Lewistown Carnegie Library Building Fund.
