He was born Jan. 16, 1936, in Springfield, the son of Lloyd C. and Ann M. Farrell Jacobs. He married Annabelle Donaldson on July 1, 1965, in Collinsville. She survives.
Also surviving are three daughters, Anna Marie (and Don) Schieferdecker of Rushville, Pamela Jane Jacobs of Springfield and Lori Kay (and Richard) Jacobs-Demizk of Chatham; one son, F. Chris Jr. (and Robin) of Auburn; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara Ann Ryan, in 1960.
He was a member of Third Presbyterian Church and Sangamon County Farm Bureau.
He graduated from Ball Chatham High School in 1955.
He was a life-time farmer in Chatham.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Bisch and Son Funeral Home, 505 E. Allen, Springfield with Rev. Brent Mitchell officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday from 5-7 p.m. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
