Mrs. Gertrude Jackson, 91, of Table Grove, died at 12:11 a.m. Thursday, Apr. 17, 1980, at McDonough District Hospital in Macomb.
Mrs. Jackson was born July 14, 1888, in Loraine, the daughter of James and Ella Seals Murray. She married Willis Howard in 1917. He preceded her in death in 1938. She later married Lee Jackson on March 8, 1943, in Quincy. He died Dec. 13, 1973.
She had been an elementary teacher for the VIT third and fourth grades for 25 years. She was a member of the Table Grove Community Church and Rebekah Lodge of Loraine.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Wilda Howard, two brothers and one sister.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Community Church in Table Grove with Rev. Carl Anderson officiating. Burial was in the New Loraine Cemetery in Loraine.
