Mrs. Sophia Jones, aged 92, believed to have been the oldest living person born in Adams county, died Sunday noon in a Quincy hospital. Mrs. Jones was born in Fall Creek township, Adams county, in 1837, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Isaac McNutt, and spent most of her life in the Fall Creek neighborhood. Her parents came to the county in 1834, and bought their land of the Indians, many of whom then lived in the county.
