JOSEPH LOGAN JONES

Found Dead.

Joseph Logan Jones was found dead in his bed early Saturday morning, at his home in Fiatt, where he lived with his widowed mother and her granddaughter, Miss Edna Daily.

Jones, who was 43 years of age and unmarried, had been complaining for some time of heart trouble and shortness of breath, but of late he had been otherwise apparently quite well. He husked corn all day Friday, and returned to the house in excellent spirits in the evening, and after a very hearty supper, retired about 7:30 o’clock.

The three inmates of the house occupied the same room, and about 3:30 o’clock in the morning Miss Daily awoke and found Jones dead. Not wishing to alarm his mother, she went to call a neighbor, and in her absence the mother discovered her son’s death, which evidently had occurred some hours previously, as the body was quite cold.

A coroner’s inquest was held and a verdict of death from heart trouble was rendered.
