Mavis Ingalsbe

Mavis E. Ingalsbe, 81, of Table Grove died at 11:20 a.m. Oct. 2, 2011, at Wesley Village Healthcare Center in Macomb.

She was born Sept. 27, 1930, in Spencer, Iowa, a daughter of Clyde and Mildred Rhodes Smith. She married Stanley Ingalsbe on Dec. 5, 1948, in Danville. He preceded her in death on Aug. 13, 2005.

She also was preceded in death by one daughter, Marcia Lynn Ingalsbe; one stillborn daughter; one grandson, Eric Savage; one great-grandson, Isaiah Yelton; two brothers, Kenneth and Arnold Dean Smith; and two sisters, Arlene Morgan and Lorraine DeWeese.

Surviving are two daughters, Roxy (and Joe) Lowrey of Hartsville, Tenn., and Chris (and Rick) Savage of Table Grove; one sister, Wilma Ingalsbe of Phoenix, Ariz.; six grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

She was a bookkeeper at Western Illinois University and McDonough District Hospital. She owned and operated Yeltons Cafe in Table Grove and drove a school bus for Macomb and VIT schools.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Table Grove Community Church with Rev. Rob Harrison officiating. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Dodsworth-Piper-Wallen Funeral Home in Macomb. Graveside services will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday at Johnson Cemetery in Danville.
