VeteranOtto Iseli, 81, Dies In Peoria

Otto Iseli, 81, of rural Canton died at 12:55 p.m. Thursday, March 29, 1990, at his sister’s home in Peoria.

He was born May 2, 1908, in Orion Township, Fulton County, the son of John and Mary (Slacker) Iseli.

Survivors include two brothers, Raymond of Lebanon, Pa., and Fritz of rural Canton; and three sisters, Emma Hedges of rural Glasford, Minnie Ashwood of rural Ipava, and Mildred Johnson of Peoria.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters.

He was a self-employed farmer in Orion township, retiring in 1987. He was a member of the Fulton County Farm Bureau and was a World War II Army veteran.

Funeral services were held 10 a.m. Saturday at Oaks Memorial Chapel in Canton with Rev. Virgil Juliot officiating. Burial was at Brunswick Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Fulton County Cancer Society or a charity of the donor’s choice.
