Sueann Goldie Hunkeapillar, 79, of Ipava died at 7:34 a.m. April 2, 2026, in the comfort of her home.
She was born June 29, 1946, in Peoria, a daughter of Ruth DeMoss Smith and Earl Smith. She married Bobby Ray Hunkeapillar Sr. on July 27, 1966, in Peoria. He preceded her in death on Feb. 17, 2025.
She also was preceded in death by one son, Jack Hunkeapillar; two brothers, Frank Palladini and Earl Smith; and two sisters, Donna Barton and Veronica Aldridge.
Surviving are two daughters, Donna (and Rick) Walters of Astoria and Tammy Chambers of Lewistown; one son, Bobby (and Lisa) Hunkeapillar of Montrose, Iowa; one brother, Andy (and Kathy) Smith of East Peoria; 11 grandchildren; two step grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was a waitress at Baverys in Lewistown and later worked at the Pop n Shop in Ipava.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria is in charge of arrangements.

Graveside services will be held for Sueann and Bobby Hunkeapillar Sr. at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 18, at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Lewistown. Their granddaughter, Bobbysue Moog will conduct the service.

Sueann and Bobby were united in marriage on July 27, 1966, in Peoria. Together they had two sons, Bobby (and Lisa) Hunkeapillar of Montrose, Iowa, and the late Jack (and Sue) Hunkeapillar; two daughters, Donna (and Rick) Walters of Astoria and Tammy Chambers of Lewistown; 11 grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
