He was born March 1, 1975, in Jacksonville, the son of Dennis Hammon and Gwen Hardy Griebler. He married Kristina McWhorter on April 6, 2009, in Rushville. She survives.
Also surviving are his mother of Winchester; one daughter, Metta “Nikki” Torres and Tristan of Portland, Ohio; one stepdaughter, Sabrina Surratt (and fiancé Michael Frakes) of Rushville; one sister, Dawnelle Hammon of Winchester; one grandchild; and one step grandchild.
He was preceded in death by one grandchild, Leo Torres; his father; and his stepfather, Jim Griebler.
He bred American Bull Dogs.
Cremation has been accorded. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 30, at Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville with Tracy Armstrong officiating. Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until the time of service on Wednesday.
