Zoe HumphreyZoe Ann Humphrey, 90, of Rushville died at 1:35 p.m. May 12, 2023, at her home.

She was born June 22, 1932, in Rushville, a daughter of Peter and Emma Bradman Phillips. She married John Humphrey on Nov. 20, 1950, in Springfield. He preceded her in death on April 25, 2012.

She also was preceded in death by three brothers, Arthur, Medford and Burton Phillips.

Surviving are three daughters, Carol (and John) Frampton of Prosperity, S.C., Kay (and Dean) Heitz of Rushville and Joanie (and Jerry) Wilson of Modesto; two sisters, Neda Colston of Rushville and Berneice Parr of Bradley; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

She worked alongside her husband, owning and operating their service station and tire business for many years until his retirement. She was a dedicated member of First Christian Church of Rushville where she assisted with the preparation of many church dinners and funeral luncheons. She was involved in the Girl Scouts of America and served as a leader for several years.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at her church with Pastor Bill Rucker officiating. Burial will follow at the Rushville City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of services at the church. The Triplett and Wood Funeral Home of Rushville is in charge of arrangements.
