Michael Hulvey

Michael Kent Hulvey, 80, of Highland died April 14, 2023, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Highland.

He was born Aug. 27, 1942, in Table Grove, a son of Ross and Stella nee White Hulvey. He married Shirley Foreman on June 17, 1966, at McConnell Air Force Base in Wichita, Kan. She survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Bethany (and Brice) LeBlanc and Amy (and Steve) Eversman; one son, Matthew (and Heather) Hulvey; one sister, Dorothy Weaver; and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by four brothers, Marshall Hulvey, Ross Hulvey Jr., Robert Hulvey and Dean Hulvey; and four sisters, Lucille Hamilton, Julia Goodwin, Wilma Long and Helen Bubb.

He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. After serving his country he worked for Southwestern Bell as a lineman, later moving to management before his retirement.

A funeral service will be held at 6 p.m. Friday with Pastor Chuck Kurfman officiating. Visitation will be held from 4-6 p.m. Friday. Meridith Funeral Home in Highland is in charge of arrangements.
