Richard Harper

Richard Edwin Harper, 85, of Chillicothe died June 24, 2020, at his home.

He was born Nov. 2, 1934, in Bryant, the son of Clarence E. and Zelma Fritz Harper. He married Creta J. Schnarr on Nov. 5, 1954, in Lewistown. She preceded him in death on Feb. 14, 2015.

Surviving are two children, Christy Harper of Atlanta, Ga., and Jeffrey (and Debbie) Harper of Peoria; six grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

He served in the U.S. Naval Reserves and then worked for Caterpillar for 42 years until he retired from the research department in Mossville.

He was a member of the Peoria Casting Club.

Burial was held at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Lewistown. Weber-Hurd Funeral Home in Chillicothe was in charge of arrangements.
