Daniel “Dan” Hart

Daniel Lee “Dan” Hart, 74, of rural Rushville died May 14, 2020, at his home in Buena Vista Township.

He was born Sept. 24, 1945, in Streator, a son of John C. and Dorothy Lee Lahman Hart.

Surviving are his mother of Streator; two brothers, David L. Hart of Streator and Nathan Hart of Ottawa; four sisters, Rachel (and Bernard) Handzus of Dwight, Renae (and John) Essman of Streator, Rhonda (and Terry) Reynolds of Cambridge and Lynn (and John) Headley of Stapleton, Ala.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father; and two brothers, Randall Hart and Eric Peter Hart.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War and later went to work for ARAMCO Oil in Saudi Arabia for over 25 years.

Private family graveside services will be held at Riverview Cemetery in Streator at 1 p.m. Thursday with Pastor Dennis Thorne officiating. Military Rites will be conducted by a U.S Army Honors Detail. Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville is in charge of arrangements.
