Dorcas HercheDorcas P. Corman Herche, 89, of Rushville died at 10:15 p.m. May 1, 2019, at Culbertson Memorial Hospital.

She was born April 7, 1930, in Macomb, the daughter of Guy and Helena F. Munson Pickinpaugh. She married Robert Corman on Jan. 31, 1954, in Rushville. He preceded her in death on Jan. 15, 1975. She later married Cecil Wayne Herche on June 26, 1999, in Rushville. He preceded her in death on Feb. 7, 2001.

She also was preceded in death by one brother, Guy Orson Pickinpaugh.

Surviving are one daughter, Sarah J. Rust of Rushville; and one granddaughter, Amanda Lynn Rust of Bloomington, Ind.

She graduated from the University of Florida in 1953. She was a member of Mount Sterling United Methodist Church, Rushville First United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. She was a member, past president and a Paul Harris Fellow of the Rushville Rotary Club. She also was a member of the PEO Chapter AL. She was a former member of TTT and the Twentieth Century Club, both in Mount Sterling.

She owned and operated Brown County Motors in Mount Sterling for many years. She was the first female auto dealer in Illinois and she was the fifth in the nation.

Funeral services were held Monday at Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville with Rev. Randy McGeehon officiating. Burial was in Rushville City Cemetery.
