She was born Feb. 17, 1916, in Beardstown, a daughter of William and Grace Thompson Hering. She married Russell Floyd Hollenback on May 14, 1939, in Beardstown. He preceded her in death on Feb. 19, 1990.
She also was preceded in death by one daughter, Betty Thomas; two brothers, William Robert Hering and Gilbert Hering; and three sisters, Anna Rogge, Dotti Orr and Betty Laughrey.
Surviving are one son, Robert (and Jeanne) Hollenback of Milan; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Rushville.
She was a correspondent for Rushville Times for many years.
Services were held Sunday at Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville with Rev. Joe Eckman officiating. Burial was in Rushville City Cemetery.
