Donald HallDonald L. Hall, 68, of Smithfield died at 8:31 p.m. Sept. 10, 2013, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

He was born Dec. 19, 1944, in Canton, a son of Harvey and Charlotte Wilson Hall. He married Margaret Harp on Aug. 6, 1966, in Canton. She survives.

Also surviving are three children, Tammy (and Eric) Mullins of Pawnee, Donald Hall Jr. of Lynchburg, Va., and Angela (and Jeff) Durbin of Kincaid; two sisters, Louann (and Ron) Lord of Clinton and Melody (and Lee) Romine of Smithfield; and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.

He retired after 17 years from Keystone Steel and Wire Company in Bartonville. He also was a bricklayer and farmed for many years. He had previously worked at AMAX Coal Company and for International Harvester Canton Works.

He served his country in the U.S. Army from 1963-66.

He was a member of Brock United Methodist Church in Smithfield, Bricklayers Union Local 8, former Fulton County Board member, Bernadotte Township Trustee and athletic director for Smithfield Little League.

Services were held Saturday at Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown with Pastor Ellen Dodd officiating. A military service was conducted by Lewistown VFW Post 5001 and Lewistown American Legion Bishop Post 1. Cremation was accorded.
