Jeanette HollenbeckJeanette F. Hollenbeck, 96, of Rushville, formerly of Cumberland, Ohio, died at 1:20 p.m. Nov. 30, 2012, at Snyder's Vaughn-Haven Nursing Home in Rushville.

She was born May 3, 1916, in Rushville, N.Y., a daughter of Fred and Mabel Kohler Broughton. She married Ernest R. Hollenbeck. He preceded her in death on Dec. 17, 1972.

She also was preceded in death by two granddaughters, Tonya Hollenbeck and Shannon Heaton; and four brothers, Charles, James, Fredrick and Vernon Broughton.

Surviving are two sons, Ronald (and Marlene) Hollenbeck of Byesville, Ohio, and Jim Hollenbeck of Senecaville, Ohio; three daughters, Pat Nicholson of Zanesville, Ohio, and Dorothy "Dot" Heaton and Karen "Kate" (and Butch) Todd, all of Rushville; two brothers, Kenneth (and Paula) Broughton of Alpine, Wyo., and Donald Broughton (and friend Sharon) of Sayre, N.Y.; one sister, Marjorie Close of Morris, Pa.; 14 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

She first worked at Corning Glass Works in Corning, N.Y. She later owned Jeanette's Dry Goods in Cumberland, Ohio, for 20 years.

She was a member of Cumberland United Methodist Church.

Cremation has been accorded. Wood Funeral Home in Rushville was in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to the Activity Department at Snyder's Vaughn-Haven Nursing Home in Rushville.
