David L. Hibbs, 74, of Camden died at 4:55 a.m. Sept. 5, 2011, at his residence.
He was born Sept. 12, 1936, in Springfield, a son of Lester and Claire Jordan Hibbs. He married Christine Parmer on Feb. 27, 1984. She preceded him in death on Oct. 24, 1999.
Surviving are three sons, Kevin Marshall of Plymouth, David Marshall of Beardstown and John Hibbs of Camden; two daughters, Tonya (and Shawn) Fitzjarrald and Sherry Hibbs, both of Camden; four brothers, Willard, Robert, Jim and Tim Hibbs; one sister, Rose Fitzjarrald of Camden; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Larry, Lester and John Hibbs.
Graveside services were held Monday at Camden West Cemetery with Rev. Dixie Croxton officiating. Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville was in charge of the arrangements.
