She was born Dec. 22, 1926, in Peoria, the daughter of Elinor Heffren. She was raised from birth in Lewistown by her grandparents, Fred and Eva Heffren. She married Jerry K. Hranka on Nov. 29, 1947, in Chicago. He died June 26, 2002.
She also was preceded in death by two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and one stepbrother.
Surviving are four sons, Joe (and Shelly) Hranka of Morton, Tom (and Susan) Hranka of Washington, John (and Karen) Hranka of Rockford and Patrick (and Pam) Hranka of Oswego; six daughters, Therese Peck and Mary (and Larry) Haynes, both of Peoria, Margaret Nelson and Anna (and Kirk) McKinzie, both of Bloomington, Cecilia (and Ray) White of Pontiac and Kathleen (and Joseph) Heskett of O’Fallon; one stepbrother, Raymond Beaty Jr. of Mexico; 30 grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lewistown where she served on their Altar and Rosary Society.
She had served as past president of Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary in Pekin.
A funeral mass was held Tuesday at her church with Monsignor Robert O’Connor officiating. Burial was in Waterford Cemetery at rural Lewistown. Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown was in charge of arrangements.
