She was born March 18, 1932, in Canton, a daughter of Willis A. and Virgie Barclay Owens. She married William G. Haacke on Dec. 23, 1950, in Lewistown. He died May 4, 2004.
She also was preceded in death by one brother.
Surviving are two sons, David (and Lisa) Haacke of Beardstown and Donald Haacke of Lewistown; one daughter, Roberta (and John) Miller of Silver City, N.M.; one brother, Max (and Janet) Owens of Lewistown; one sister, Dolores Bragd of Boise, Idaho; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She graduated from Illinois Central College in 1972 and worked seven years as an LPN. She graduated from Graham Hospital School of Nursing in 1981 and worked at Graham Hospital for 19 years. She retired in 1996 from St. Francis Hospital in Greenville, S.C.
She had been a member of Lewistown United Methodist Church since 1947, and Junior Women’s Club and was president in 1960.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. today at Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown with John Miller officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Lewistown. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the memorial home.
