MILDRED R. (RANDALL) HACKETT

Mildred HackettMildred R. Hackett, 97, of Lewistown died at 12:38 p.m. Jan. 3, 2009, at Graham Hospital in Canton.

She was born Jan. 14, 1911, in Fulton County, a daughter of William and Bessie White Randall. She married Ben Hackett on Nov. 28, 1936, in Macomb. He died Jan. 24, 1994.

She also was preceded in death by one niece, Janice (and Allen) Mowery.
Surviving are one niece, Roberta Allen (and Bob) Rakestraw of Houston, Texas; and one sister, Geraldine (and Paul) Allen of Lewistown.

She attended grade school in McDonough county and graduated from Lewistown High School in 1929.

She was an active member of Illinois Street Christian Church in Lewistown since 1929, where she had taught first- and second-grade Sunday school for many years. She also served as a Deaconess, and served as church financial secretary for 33 years. She had served four terms as Christian Womens Fellowship president, as well as holding other offices.

She was a member of Tuesday Quilting Club, Eastern Star Lodge and Lewistown American Legion Auxiliary.

Services were held Tuesday at Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown with Rev. Ray Greenfield officiating. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery in Lewistown.
