Mary Ellen HarperMary Ellen Harper, 69, of Cuba died at 4:35 a.m. Feb. 21, 2007, at Graham Hospital Extended Care in Canton.

She was born Jan. 15, 1938, in Foster City, Mich., a daughter of Ernest and Aili Nolan Anderson. She married Junior Harper on Sept. 2, 1983, in Cuba. He died Oct. 17, 1996.

She also was preceded in death by her father; and one son, Ladd Morrison.

Surviving are her mother of Oglesby; two stepsons, Allen (and Sandy) Harper and Richard Harper, both of Lewistown; one stepdaughter, Kathy (and Danny) Herrick of Canton; two sisters, Ruth Dunkirk and Linda Denney, both of Oglesby; her fiance, Larry Bohm of Havana; and one step- grandchild.

She had worked nine years at Coleman Clinic in Canton, Lewistown and Farmington, before retiring in 2003. She also worked many years in the insurance field, last working for Town & Country Insurance in Canton.

She was a member of Cuba Christian Church and was a co- founder and Grand Mum of the Cuba Cuties Chapter of the Red Hatters.

Services were held Friday at Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Cuba with Rev. Amy Wharton officiating. Burial was in Cuba Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Spoon River Hospice of Graham Hospital or Grant Keime Memorial Trust.
