Carl Hunter

Carl A. Hunter, 55, of Bushnell died at 7:53 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 19, 2003, at McDonough District Hospital in Macomb.

He was born Sept. 28, 1947, in Avon, a son of Bennie and Shirley White Hunter. He married Paulette Becht. He later married Lynda Cox on Aug. 16, 1985, in Burlington, Iowa. She survives.

Also surviving are his mother, Shirley Brown of Muldraugh, Ky.; one son, Michael of Vermont; one stepson, David Nunn Jr. of Alabama; three daughters, Linda Maloney and Brenda Richards, both of Radcliffe, Ky., and Lisa Jones of Macomb; three stepdaughters, Melynda Van Hook of Milan, Tina Smith of Davenport, Iowa, and Jean Nunn of Macomb; three brothers, Richard Hunter and Timothy Weaver, both of Muldraugh, and William Weaver of Kentucky; one sister, Kathy Jones of Bushnell; 10 grandchildren; and seven stepgrandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Cremation has been accorded. Graveside services with burial of ashes was held Saturday at Bushnell Cemetery. Martin-Hollis Funeral Home in Bushnell was in charge of arrangements.
