Milford D. Harn, 66, of Astoria died at 9:47 a.m. Friday, Jan. 24, 2003, at his residence.

He was born May 11, 1936, in Fulton County, a son of Harvey and Effie Marie Malott Harn. He married Gladys Martinez on May 9, 1955, in Raton, N.M. She survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Patricia (and Frank) Gonzales of Oceanside, Calif., and Susan (and Jeff) Chaska of Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif.; one stepdaughter, Raquel (and Kevin) Scllastico of Sacramento, Calif.; two sisters, Sara (and Larry) Brehm of Paloma and Nelcine Thompson of Appleton, Wis.; one brother, Willis (and Betty) of Peoria; and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one son, Dale.

He was a World War II Army veteran and a member of Astoria American Legion Post 25 for 45 years.

He worked at International Harvester in Canton for more than 25 years, retiring in 1997.

Services will be held today at 10 a.m. at Summum Christian Church with Rev. Ken Peterson officiating. Burial will be in Summum Cemetery, where military rites will be accorded by his American Legion Post. Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria is in charge of arrangements.
