LAWRENCE E. “LARRY” HAMM

Lawrence E. “Larry” Hamm, 58, of Key Colony Beach, Fla., formerly of Metamora, died at 2:26 a.m. Wednesday, July 14, 1999, at his residence.

He was born Dec. 16, 1940, in Peoria, a son of Dallas and Eva Briney Hamm. He married Suzanne Thompson on June 17, 1960, in Rushville. She survives.

Also surviving are his mother of Astoria; two daughters, Mrs. Scott (Colleen) Bartel of Indianpolis and Mrs. James (Debra) Stewart of Metamora; five grandchildren; two brothers, Robert of Marathon, Fla., and Richard of Rome; and one sister, Mrs. Robert (Phyllis) McCombs of Astoria.

He was preceded in death by his father.

He founded Hamm Steel Erection Co. Inc. in Metamora, retiring in 1994. He was a part-time employee of Key Colony Beach Realty Inc. in Key Colony Beach.

He was a member of New Life Assembly of God Church in Marathon, Fla., and a former member of First Assembly of God Church in Metamora and the Men’s Missionaries.

Services were Monday at Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home in Peoria with Revs. Red Dickson and Peter Bruno officiating. Burial was in Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.
