MILDRED R. (BARTLOW) HORNEY

Mildred Horney

Mildred R. Horney, 101, of Rushville, formerly of Littleton, died at 1:50 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 15, 1998, at Culbertson Long Term Care Facility in Rushville.

She was born July 5, 1897, in Vermont, the daughter of Bruce W. and Ida Sandidge Bartlow. She married Speed M. Horney on Oct. 15, 1921, in Wisconsin. He passed away April 15, 1965. She was also preceded in death by one great-grandson and one brother, Vail W. Bartlow.

Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Phillip (Jean) Brown of Rushville; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was a member of the Littleton United Methodist Church; the United Methodist Women; Be-Kik-A-Nin-E Chapter N.S.D.A.R.; the Littleton Unit of the Schuyler-Brown Home Extension; and the Schuyler Jail Museum and Genealogical Center.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the Littleton United Methodist Church with Rev. Joe Tomich officiating. Burial will be in the Littleton Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville.

Memorials may be given to the Littleton United Methodist Church or Culbertson Long Term Care.
