Treva B. Harris, 77, of Wenona, died Monday, March 10, 1997, in St. Mary’s Hospital in Streator, where she had been a patient for one month.
She was born in Industry, Jan. 30, 1920, a daughter of Ernest and Effie Teel Bowman. She married Kenneth A. (Bill) Harris on Nov. 20, 1938. He died July 23, 1993. She was also preceded in death by her parents and one sister.
She is survived by three brothers, Bert Bowman of Macomb, Duane Bowman of Greenbelt, Md., and Gene Bowman of Beeville, Texas; and one niece, Mrs. James (Pam) Norway of Geneseo.
She and her husband owned and operated The Harmony Club in Wenona for 48 years until she closed in January 1997 due to ill health.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Thierry Funeral Home in Wenona with Rev. Rodney Herrick officiating. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. Thursday until time of service in the funeral home. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Astoria Cemetery.
