Helen M. Hoyt, 100, a resident of North Adams Home in Mendon, formerly of Huntsville, died at 2:55 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 15, 1996 in the home.
She was born Sept. 29, 1896, in Huntsville, a daughter of James Marshall and Mary E. (Smithson) Green. She married Harold E. Hoyt on April 8, 1937, in Quincy. He preceded her in death on Nov. 27, 1984. Also preceding her in death were one brother and five sisters.
Surviving are one great-niece, Joyce Walwick of Johnson City, Tenn.; two great-nephews, Gary Stuart of Lake Bluff and William Stuart in California; and one sister-in-law, Mabel Burton of Browning.
Mrs. Hoyt was a homemaker. She attended Huntsville School and was a member of the Huntsville United Methodist Church. She was a 75-year member of the Royal Neighbors.
Funeral services were held Thursday at the Huntsville United Methodist Church. Burial was in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Augusta.
