James Hopping

James R. Hopping, 52, of Miami, Okla., formerly of Astoria, died Sunday, June 2, 1994, in Joplin, Mo.

He was born Dec. 9, 1941, in Astoria, a son of Howard and Ruth Dickenson Hopping. He married Kathleen Good on Oct. 26, 1973, in Macomb. She survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Randy Hopping of Ellisville and Chad Hopping of Miami, Okla.; two daughters, Trisha Hopping and Kayla Hopping, both of Miami, Okla.; one stepson, Tony Woerly of Pittsburg, Kan.; one stepdaughter, Missy Blankenship of Miami, Okla.; two sisters, Mary Ann Carmean and Edie Dean, both of Astoria; two brothers, Dennis Hopping of Warrensburg, Mo. and Max Hopping of Astoria; and eight grandchildren.

He worked at Wesco in Commerce, Okla.

Cremation rites were accorded. Graveside services were held Sunday at Woodland Cemetery near Astoria with Gary Schultz officiating. Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria was in charge of arrangements.
