William Hall

William I. “Bill” Hall, 76, of Canton, died at 12:15 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 4, 1995, at Graham Hospital in Canton.

He was born March 24, 1919, at Indian Valley, Floyd County, Va., a son of Harvey P. and Virginia (Agnew) Hall. He was first married to Lola Jean Bishop (divorced). He later married Carrie Donaldson at Chicago in 1967 and she preceded him in death in 1987. He married Orma Kuhn on May 25, 1991 at Canton. She preceded him in death on July 15, 1995. He was also preceded in death by one son, Micheal; one daughter, Wanda Fawcett; one granddaughter and two brothers.

He is survived by one son, Bruce C. Hall of Havana; three daughters, Mrs. Larry (Wilma Jean) Hood of Lewistown, Mrs. Larry (Lorraine) Hallmark and Mrs. Randy (Becky) Palmer, both of Havana; one stepson, Floyd Kuhn of Rockford; three stepdaughters, Mrs. “Bud” (Charlene) Nelson of Canton, Mrs. Jim (Sylvia) Spivey of Munster, Ind., Mrs. Jerry (Ruth) Rawley of Ft. Smith, Ark.; 24 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; six brothers, Clark and Dan Hall of Canton, Dean of Cuba, Jesse of Macomb, Charles of South Jacksonville, Noble of Sherman; and one sister, Mrs. Ed (Martha) Watson of Alexis.

Prior to 1963, he had been employed in Canton by Flynn Building Materials, Fullerton Building Materials and Canton Ready Mix. In 1963 he was involved in an accident which left him blind. He then moved to the Chicago area where he ran his own vending business until retiring in 1985. He then moved back to Canton. He was a member of the Cuba United Methodist Church and had been a member of the Methodist Men’s Organization.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Henry Memorial Home in Lewistown with Rev. Delmar Smith officiating. Burial was in the Providence Cemetery in rural Lewistown.

Memorials contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
