Francis Hopping, 90, of rural Macomb, died at 8:40 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 10, 1995, at Snyder’s Vaughn-Haven Nursing Home in Rushville.
He was born June 6, 1905, in Astoria, a son of John and Emma Derry Hopping. He married Flora Black on Feb. 14, 1934, in Quincy. She preceded him in death, as did one daughter, Bonnie Hopping, one sister and three brothers.
Surviving are one daughter, Doris Hopping, and two sons, John and Bill, all of Macomb.
He was a farmer all his life.
Funeral services were held this morning at Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home with Marshall Litchfield officiating. Burial was in Pennington Point Cemetery in New Salem Township.
