Otto E. Hensley, 51, of rural Bath, a former resident of the Smithfield and Cuba areas, died at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, July 15, 1995, at his residence.

He was born on June 28, 1944 at Smithfield, the son of Otto F. and Verna Laswell Hensley. He married Judy Shields on Nov. 17, 1967 at Cuba. He is survived by his mother Verna Poole of Smithfield; one son, Andrew “Andy” Hensley of Canton; two sisters, Tammy Cole of Kenvir, Ky., and Bonnie Hensley of Decatur; and one grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his father.

He worked as a farm laborer and had served in Europe with the U.S. Army from 1963 until 1967.

Graveside services were held Tuesday in the Baughman Cemetery at rural Smithfield with Rev. Marty Carter officiating.

Henry Memorial Home in Cuba was in charge of arrangements.
