Margaret H. “Tude” Herriford, 75, of Ipava, died at 9:23 a.m. Monday, June 14, 1993, at her home.
She was born Dec. 22, 1917, in Ipava, a daughter of William and Margaret Notman Lee. She married Joseph C. Herriford on Aug. 18, 1936, in Taylorville. He died Feb. 14, 1971. Five brothers and two sisters also preceded her in death.
Surviving are one daughter, Joann Baum of Mount Carmel; one sister, Annabel McMullen of Macomb; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was a cook in Ipava area restaurants and for VIT School District. She was a member of Ipava American Legion Auxiliary and the Katherine Class Quilters.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Ipava with Rev. William Waddell. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. This evening at the memorial home. Burial will be in Ipava Cemetery.
