Merley Hunt, 68, of rural Topeka, Manito Township, died at 7:35 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 8, 1990, at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria.
She was born April 22, 1922, in Mason City, the daughter of Julius E. and Norah (Legg) Tyrrell. She married Ted E. Hunt, Sr., on Aug. 5, 1940, in Burlington, Iowa. He died Jan. 8, 1989.
She was also preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.
Survivors include three sons, Culver A. Hunt of Canton, Ted E. Hunt of Farmington and Carl E. Hunt of Colorado Springs, Colo.; two daughters, Merley (Penny) Rigg of Table Grove and Joan Barrett of Brimfield; 20 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Monday at Murphy-Sedgwick Memorial Home in Canton with Rev. L. P. Spratt officiating. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery in Oak Hill, Ill.
