Harold Hyzer Dies At Age 88

Harold W. Hyzer, 88, of Lewistown, died at 12:44 a.m. Monday, July 9, 1990, at Graham Hospital in Canton, where he was admitted Sunday.

He was born April 11, 1902, in Reedsburg, Wis., a son of Louis and Estelle Sorge Hyzer. He married Beulah H. McKinney in Lewistown on April 8, 1924. She died Feb. 3, 1979. He married Melba M. Boozell on Sept. 13, 1981 and she died Nov. 7, 1986. Two brothers also preceded him in death.

Surviving are two sons, Kenneth R. of rural Lewistown and Keith of Rockford; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He was a Lewistown businessman for 45 years before retiring and a former member of Lewistown Community High School Board of Education, where he served as president. He also was a member of the Lewistown City Council.

He was a member of Lewistown United Presbyterian Church, Lewistown Lodge 104, AF&AM; Peoria Consistory and Mohammed Temple Shrine.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. this morning at Henry Memorial Home with Rev. Robert McCleery officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to his church and/or Lewistown Rescue Squad.
