LANNIE L. HELTON

Former Astorian Dies At Age 50

Lannie L. Helton, 50, of 4 Haussler Court, Pekin, died at 7:05 p.m. Sunday, June 24, 1990, at Methodist Medical Center.

He was born Feb. 13, 1940, in Adrian, Texas, a son of Charles and Gladys Fuller Helton. He married Juanita R. Danner on March 7, 1963, in Sunnyvale, Calif. She survives.

Also surviving are his parents of Abernathy, Texas; two sons, Todd Helton and Joe Kautz of Pekin; one daughter, Angel Kautz of Pekin; one grandson; one brother, Jerry Helton of San Jose, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Guy (Dorothy) Roach of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Mrs. LeRoy (Frankie) Bardwell of New Deal, Texas.

He worked at Caterpillar Inc. for 22 years, last working September 1988. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Peoria.

Memorial services were held Wednesday at Noel-Henderson Funeral Home with Chaplain Paul Reynen and Rev. Claire Bordeaux officiating. Burial of ashes was in Lakeside Cemetery in Pekin.

Memorials may be made to Cansurmount at Methodist Medical Center.

The Heltons are former Astoria residents.
