Lloyd J. Heffren, 82, of Lewistown, died at 8:15 a.m. Thursday, March 29, 1990, at his home following a brief illness.
He was born Feb. 26, 1908, in Kerton Township, Fulton County, a son of Theodore and Margaret Kearney Heffren.
Surviving are one brother, Lawrence Heffren of rural Lewistown; and several nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
He was a retired farmer in Kerton Township and a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Havana. He served as a commissioner on the Kerton Valley Levee and Drainage District for more than 30 years.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lewistown with Rev. Robert O’Connor and Rev. John Horton officiating. Burial was in Laurel Hill Cemetery in Havana. Henry Memorial Home in Lewistown was in charge of arrangements.
