Mrs. Cora Mae Haffner, 79, of Bloomfield, Ia., died at her home Saturday, Sept. 29, 1984.
She was born April 11, 1905, in Ipava, a daughter of Fred and Alena Mary Reedy Lalicker. On June 5, 1929, she married John Orwig. He died Dec. 26, 1969. On July 27, 1975, she married Herebert Haffner in Bloomfield. He survives.
Also surviving are one son, Raymond Orwig of Glasgow, Mo.; an adopted daughter, Leone Grothe of Ottumwa, Ia.; three step-daughters, Marjorie Thompson of West Branch, Ia., Norma Gregory of Ft. Madison, Ia., and Virginia Jurgensen of Ottumwa; one step-son, David Haffner of Bloomfield; eight grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and five step-great-grandchildren.
She taught school at Marietta prior to 1960.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Marietta Baptist Church with Rev. John Hlusizer officiating. Burial was in the Marietta Cemetery.
