VeteranPerry Harris Of Browning Dies

Funeral services for Perry (Squeaky) Harris, 55, of Browning, who died Friday in Veterans Hospital, Iowa City, Iowa, were held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in Browning Methodist Church. Burial was in Browning Cemetery, where graveside military rites were conducted.

Mr. Harris, an auto mechanic, was a World War II veteran, and a member of Schuyler Post 4, American Legion.

He was born in Browning March 29, 1915, a son of Oliver and Mary Jane Markley Harris. He married Jessie May Ranson in Palmyra, Mo., April 19, 1942. She died in 1965.

Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Carolyn Joyce Lauen of Forest City, Iowa, Mrs. Patricia Diane Stoneking of Table Grove, Mrs. Yvonne Lorraine Farwell of Astoria, and Peggy Cecile and Angela Sue at home; a son, Carlyle, at home; five grandchildren; his mother of Browning; a brother, Otto Vern Harris of Morton, and a sister, Mrs. Gladys McGinnis of Browning.
