Lifetime Astoria Resident Dies In Havana Hospital

Mrs. Lucy Grimmer Heath, 77, of Astoria, died Sunday evening in the Mason District hospital in Havana where she had been admitted earlier that day. She had been in ill health for several months.

Born near Astoria on Jan. 15, 1888, she was the daughter of William and Permelia Brown Lamprell. In June, 1906, she married James Grimmer who preceded her in death in 1918. She later married Frank Heath in 1928. He also preceded her in death. She had resided in the Mrs. Edie Kinkead home for the past several months.

Among the survivors are two sons, James Grimmer of Phoenix, Ariz., Paul Grimmer of Astoria, and one daughter, Mrs. Martha Cozadd of Summum. Seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and one sister, Miss Florence Lamprell of Vermont also survive. Four brothers and six sisters preceded her in death. Mrs. Heath was a member of the Astoria Methodist church and the Rebekah Lodge.

Funeral services were held this afternoon at the Shawgo Memorial Home with the Rev. Eugene Reynolds, pastor of the Summum Christian church officiating.
