Mrs. Caroline Harris, 82, Browning, Dies

Mrs. Caroline Alberta Harris, 82, a lifelong resident of Browning, died Saturday at the Culbertson hospital in Rushville.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Assembly of God Church in Browning. The Rev. Bozarth officiated and burial was in Browning cemetery.

Mrs. Harris was born March 20, 1877, in Fulton County, a daughter of Peter and Suanne Burgard Himmel. She was married in 1905 to George W. Harris, deceased.

Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Fairy McCombs, and Mrs. Vanetta McGinnis, both of Rushville; Mrs. Gertrude Beaty, Beardstown; Mrs. Zelma Weishaar of Browning; and Mrs. Christine Bellville of Bader; one sister, Miss Mary Himmel of Browning, and two brothers. Also surviving are 19 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Two sons died previously.
