VERMONT — The next to depart for the land beyond was Mrs. Alford Hart whose death occurred Monday, Feb. 19, at her home east of the public square. Mrs. Hart, nee Hatton, was born in Chanton, Kent County, England in 1818, was married to Alford Hart in 1847. They settled in this place in 1850 when Mr. Hart, who survives her engaged in the furniture and undertaking business. She was widely known and universally respected for her many good qualities of heart and mind. Funeral services were held at her home, Elder G. W. Ross delivering a short discourse over her well spent life as well as words of encouragement to the weeping relatives and friends.
