IPAVA — Died, Saturday, April 21st, at 2 o’clock p.m., Mrs. Anna Heckard, at the age of sixty-five years. Having been born in Manchester, England, in 1826. She came to this country with her parents, Rev. Charles Powell and family, who settled in Bernadotte township in 1835, and was a pioneer Methodist minister for many years. She married Abraham Heckard in 1846, since which time, and all her life, she has resided in this county. Mrs. Heckard was a devoted christian from early childhood and a member of the church for over fifty years.
