Died, at the home of her parents, Miss Bertha E., daughter of Henry Howard, on Monday evening September 25th, aged seventeen years. Six years ago Miss Bertha fell out of a swing which crippled her so badly that she never recovered from its effects and it finally resulted in her death. She has been entirely helpless all these years and for three years has been confined to her bed. The poor girl has at times suffered untold agony and we suppose has never been free from pain, yet through it all she was patient and even cheerful. She looked forward to the end with composure and even pleasure. Now she is free from pain and at rest. The funeral occurred from the family residence yesterday at ten o’clock.
