He was born April 27, 1950, in Champaign, the son of Rube Donald and Josephine Howell Grafmyer.
Surviving are numerous cousins and many friends.
He earned two degrees from Parkland College and spent his early career as a research contractor for the Department of Defense. Later he was a district wide IT specialist and computer technician for Champaign Unit 4 School District.
A memorial service was held Saturday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Pastor Matthew Thiner officiating. Inurnment will be at Grandview Memorial Gardens, Champaign County, at a later date. Cremation rites have been accorded.
